Welcome to my gallery/shop window - Please have a look around and enjoy my art.

I spent twenty-five very happy years as a ballet teacher, wishing I had the time to create pictures. Now, as I enjoy my retirement, I'm having a lot of fun painting and embroidering.

Most of my pieces are for sale, with proceeds going to www.therobgeorgefoundation.org

For those of you who don't know me, art has become like a medicine for me.  Our youngest son, Rob, died aged 21 of leukaemia in 2013.  His last words to us were "Be Happy" and when I am making art, that is exactly what I am - sometimes a little frustrated, sometimes a little messy, but always happy! It truly helps keep the sadness at bay.  The Rob George Foundation was set up in loving memory of Rob.

Testimonial from a satisfied customer/friend....

"I’m so pleased with my Tulip painting by the super talented Lorraine George.
When I approached Lorraine to paint me a picture of tulips. Lorraine asked me questions about styles and types of materials. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted but somehow she managed to hit the nail on the head with “Silent Warriors”. I love how detailed and delicate this painting is. The colours bold and still dreamy. It looks amazing and brings a bit of spring to my kitchen. Just awesome!
Lorraine donates 60% of her profit to “The Rob George Foundation” which makes it even more special.
Thank you Lorraine!"
